II. History of development:  

Established: in 1998;

Main achievement

+        Well following the wastage management rules

+        Develop the rules for infection control

+    Incorporate handwashing, ward and environmental hygiene into the hospital routine work;

 III. Main activities:  

Central Sterile Department: desinfection and sterilization of all used equipment and instruments from different departments

Laundry: washing, drying, ironing and folding all used linen and clothes of patients

Infection control team

+         Planning monthly and quarterly supervision of the hospital infection control

+        Organize training courses and seminars on infection control

+        Periodical supervision and promotion of infection control activities

+        Bacterial culture of staff hands, medical equipment and environment twice a year

Research and training

+        Open training course on infection control for doctors and nurses with national and international (Singapore) speakers

+      Open training course on the rules of chemical management for nurses and aid nurses

+      Open training course on hospital waste management

     IV. National and international cooperation:

National cooperation: have close cooperation with curative department under Ministry of Health

International cooperation: Royal Children's Hospital
