II. HISTORY OF DEVELOPMENT:

Established in 1969

Main achievement:

-         Awarded a Certificate by the Government in 1999;

-         Awarded the title "Excellently work performing department"; 

   III. MAIN ACTIVITIES :  

Curative work

   + Number of beds:  10 beds

   + Patients aged from 01 month to 15 years, including

-     Critically sick children requiring special advanced technical interventions by resuscitation equipment.

-     These children come from outside the hospital as well as from departments of respiratory diseases, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, etc.

Main services

-     Intensive and resuscitation management of emergency cases of respiratory, cardiovascular and neurological systems;

-     Perform modern techniques of ventilation (using ventilators);

-     Diagnostic and curative procedures such as: central venous insert, pleural and pericardial, lumbar punctures and peritoneal dialysis;

Research and training:

- Participate in training postgraduate students such as Ph.D. and Master students; doctor of degree I and degree II

    IV. NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COOPERRATION:

+  Have cooperation with the Academy of Medicine of Amsterdam

+  Have cooperation with the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne Australia
