Established in  1969

From 1969  to 1978: Dr. Nguyễn Tấn Phúc

From 1979 to 1985: Dr. Nguyễn Hảo Thư

From 1986 to 2000: Dr. Hoàng Văn Sơn, PhD

Since 2001           : Dr. Đỗ Thị Ngọc Yến

Awarded the title of “Excellent labor team” for many years

   III. Main activities :  

  Activities for treatment services

·     Meet all demands of early diagnosis and treatment of patients 

·     Supply rapid, screening tests for early diagnosis and treatment

·     Supply specialized tests and apply high technology tests to support the diagnosis and scientific research.

 Main services:

·     Do routine tests in biochemistry such as supply the specialized: Hormone, Tumor maker, ELISA, EIA, immuno essay chromatography

 Research and training

    Research:

-     Biochemical constant in children

-     Study on the activity of some enzymes in the metabolism of erythrocyte in patients with Hb E- b Thalassemia

-     CRP in differential diagnosis the infectious and virus encephalitis

-     Immune-technique in diagnosis of microglobuline disease

   Training:

-     Regular training for staff in the department to improve their knowledge

-     Contribute to training for doctors, technicians from different provinces and students from Hanoi medical school. 

    IV. National and international cooperation:

+        Regularly exchange with colleagues in the country as well as outsiders on the new techniques in biochemistry. 

+        Contribute to activities of the Asian network of Clinical Laboratory Standardization and Harmonization.
