(preventive injections) and periodic monitoring of the
patients with rheumatic fever and rheumatic heart diseases;

treatment and follow-up of the patients such as ECG, Doppler
cardiac ultrasound and defibrillation;

In cooperation with other department of NIP to
perform diagnostic procedure with high technology and
surgical intervention;

fever in children and the congenital heart diseases;

Studying normal values of ECG and ultrasound in
healthy children;

Evaluating outcome of the primary and secondary
preventive programme for rheumatic fever in children;

Studying clinical aspect, management and prevention
of heart diseases in children;

Education of national and international undergraduate
and postgraduate students on pediatric heart diseases;

Assisting undergraduate and postgraduate medical
students in writing master,
Ph.D. thesis, doctor of degree I and degree II in doing
their research projects;
IV. National and international cooperation:

Joint
research with Viet-Duc hospital on epidemiology, clinical
and management of heart diseases in children;

Joint
research with APPEL organization (France) on epidemiology
and clinical of rheumatic fever/rheumatic heart disease and
in the development of rheumatic prevention network as well
as capacity building of medical staff;
·
Cooperation
with the WHO in upgrading knowledge of diagnosis, management
and prevention of rheumatic fever/rheumatic heart disease
and implementation of research on epidemiology of
cardiovascular diseases, improving equipment
and training staff in country and overseas
