I. Staffing:

          The department is staffed with 6 employees including 3 doctors and 3 traditional medicine assistant-doctors

II. Development process:

The department was formed in 1980 when the new hospital was put into use. It was then staffed with one doctor and one assistant-doctor.

In 1982, the department had 10 beds and employed another 5 assistant-doctors and a traditional medicine doctor in 1990. Since 1996, the department has employed 3 doctors and 3 traditional medicine assistant doctors.

III. Activities:

The department assumes the role of performing treatment of patients transferred from the lower levels and from clinical departments within the hospital.

The department combines modern medicine and traditional medicine in a good way by use of management of Eastern drugs, massage, acupuncture and points-pressing.

The department has been cooperating closely with various clinical awards such as : the department of Infectious diseases, the Psychiatry department, the Neurological department and Genito-urological department in acquiring optimal therapeutic measures for different diseases in children.
