During the tele-consultation, NHP professionals discussed with Japanese counterparts about the patients’ conditions and measures taken to deal with. However, Japanese doctors have not made any conclusion of the treatment yet.

NHP has performed lab tests on patients’ specimens to support further diagnosis and treatment for patients. Professor Liem recommended that, while awaiting a proper treatment and when children have a running nose, sneeze, cough or have a slight fever, it is the best to keep them warm and consult doctors early. 10 deaths at NHP was due to late arrival. 4 patients recovered and now 5 patients with severity are being hospitalized at the ICU of NHP, and a retrospective study is now commenced.
