After a year of preparation, the new General Pediatric Department officially commenced operations on the 24th November, 2009. Under the management of the Board of Directors, the General Pediatric Department is designed as an advanced medical service model to provide patients with the best clinical service possible

. Patients will be treated by highly qualified and experienced medical and nursing staff. Many of these staff have received advanced English language training and specialist pediatric nursing training. Patients will be cared for in modern facilities including 3 fully equipped wards, 41 hospital beds for resident patients and 18 beds for out- patients. The General Pediatric Department is a component of the National Hospital of Pediatrics’ program to develop an advanced, comprehensive medical service model at the hospital
